Learn more about Alderwood Lodges

Our holiday park is a wonderful Norfolk get away and we has achieved the Gold Award for over 10 years now for the David Bellamy Conservation scheme and in 2013, we were given the Special Distinction Award for our Bird Hide we built from recycled leylandi trees felled on site, which was officially opened by Professor David Bellamy along with the children from our local primary school & the Brownies club. The Alderwood site has been in the family since 1948 although the family history dates back in the village to the 1800’s!  Our three luxury timber holiday lodges are set in 9 acres of tranquil woodland & grassland, beside the river “Little Ouse”. We are on the edge of the Brecks area in South Norfolk with its unique flora & fauna. The market towns of Diss and Thetford are 8 miles away. The lovely historic town of Bury St Edmunds with its cathedral and Abbey gardens and with many great shops is 16 miles away.  Come to Norfolk and visit us soon for a unique log cabin holiday you will love.
